High Protein Chicken Vodka Pasta Recipe

There is something about pasta that just hits after a long day. The only problem is that most pasta meals leave you hungry again an hour later. You finish dinner, then somehow end up back in the kitchen looking for snacks.
I started making this Chicken Vodka Pasta because I wanted something that actually felt like comfort food while still hitting my protein goals. Most high protein meals turn into chicken and rice or another protein shake. This feels like a real meal.
Creamy vodka-style sauce, grilled chicken, parmesan, and pasta come together in a way that tastes like something you would order at a restaurant. The best part is that the protein is already built right into the sauce, so there is no need for extra powders or weird ingredients.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Forté Protein Sauce
- 8 oz chicken breast
- 4 oz dry gluten free brown rice penne pasta
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 3 tbsp vodka
- ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- Fresh basil
- Salt
- Black pepper
Directions
Step 1: Cook the chicken
Season the chicken with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat. Cook the chicken for about 5 to 6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Remove from the pan and let it rest before slicing.
Step 2: Cook the pasta
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the brown rice pasta according to package instructions. Before draining, save a few tablespoons of pasta water.
Step 3: Make the sauce
Reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add Forté Protein Sauce, vodka, heavy cream, and stir until smooth and creamy.
Step 4: Bring it together
Add the cooked pasta into the sauce and stir until coated. Mix in parmesan cheese and add a splash of pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce. Slice the chicken and place it on top. Finish with fresh basil and extra parmesan.
